"GREENSBORO, NC (October 28, 2014) – Allen Carlton Harris III, 16, of 716 Marsh St. was arrested on Oct. 26 in connection with the Oct. 23 shooting of two men behind the multi-unit complex at the same address.
Harris is accused of shooting Dawayne Lamont Hill, 24, and Dante Rayshon Goins, 22, both of 1200 Orchard St.,following a dispute over a woman.
Police were able to make the arrest thanks to the many callers who provided information that helped identify the gunman.
Greensboro police responded to the area of 716 Marsh St. at approximately 6:47 pm on Oct. 23 after receiving a 911 call of multiple shots fired. Police found both victims behind the multi-unit complex suffering from gunshot wounds.
Hill was released from the hospital last week. Goins remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
Harris faces two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury with Intent to Kill. He is confined on a $500,000 secured bond."
